This book has no scientific pretention; its aim is to show through an important iconography carried out in the 1900s by the "RONCO Brothers" what the different stages of the wine production chain were at the beginning of the 20th century. Thanks to these images, most of wich haven't been seen before, work on the wines comes to life and history unfolds before our eyes, from the harvesting, farming and the conservation of wines, resulting in the ultimate reward, the final tasting! We also discover the exhibitions, the Confréries and the important Bacchus celebrations held at Clos de Vougeot, Hospices de Beaune and in Meursault. We can read the elaborate menus given at the gargantuan feasts. Not forgetting of course the merry drinking songs and the celebrated Ban Bourguignon. La, la, la, la, la lère.
